Generational Luthiers
Based in my home workshop in Somerset, near Bruton and Castle Cary, I specialise in the repair, restoration, conservation, and sale of antique instruments. I am also available in London by appointment, where I offer expert restoration services, as well as the acquisition and sale of both newly crafted and historically significant instruments.
Having studied at Newark School of Violin Making, I built on years of experience gained in my parent's workshop, since then I was awarded the RAB trust award and the RAB special award, which allowed me to receive specialised training from BVMA experts.
I continue to participate in courses organised by the BVMA, West Dean and West Hope, to improve my craft and share my skills with other makers.
Music has been a lifelong passion. I began playing the cello at the age of three under my mother's guidance, later continuing my education at the Yehudi Menuhin School. My musical journey further evolved through studies at both the Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal College of Music, until I ultimately discovered that my true calling lay in the art of instrument making rather than professional performance.
